Not that the media would acknowledge it with the 24 hour Denny watch going on but anyone here heard anything yet?

2. I saw a bunch of tractors with signs (farm tractors)
going down North Capitol towards Congress. I don't know if they were protesting anything in particular as I didn't see their signs.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS) -- Hundreds of demonstrators rallied in downtown San Francisco and dozens of cities across, the country on Thursday to protest the Bush administration.

Protesters marched down Market Street to Union Square, united by diverse critiques of President Bush on a variety of issues, from how he handled the war in Iraq to questions about detainee interrogation and torture.

The center piece of the World Can’t Wait rally was to be an effigy of the president ceremonially jailed, a piece of street theater reminiscent of the movie Wicker Man.

KCBS’s Margie Shafer at the rally reports that some demonstrators intended to set up camp downtown and attend a sun rise rally planned for Friday morning.

Thousands of Anti-War Protesters Clog Midtown

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- From longtime activists to toddlers, thousands of protesters clogged streets Thursday afternoon to speak out against the war in Iraq.

Organized by the group World Can't Wait, the march started at the United Nations headquarters in midtown Manhattan. The throng of people, stretching for about five city blocks, closed down a lane of traffic on Second Avenue as it made its way south to Union Square for a late afternoon protest.

Some people lay down in the middle of the street while others carried signs saying ``Expose 9/11'' and ``This war should be over.'' They also handed out fliers reading, ``Drive out the Bush regime.''

Lydia Sugarman, 82, from Manhattan, also protested against the Vietnam War and for women's rights. She said she was a strong believer in the power of demonstrating.

``That's how we got our civil rights,'' she said. ``If we didn't protest we wouldn't be Americans.''

SEATTLE - About 150 demonstrators against the Iraq War gathered Thursday morning on the University of Washington campus in Seattle in Red Square.

They then marched to a rally Thursday afternoon in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, before planning to march to an all-night sit-in outside the Federal Building in downtown Seattle.

A number of demonstrations and vigils also are planned in Tacoma, Olympia, Spokane and other cities as part of a national day of protest against the Iraq war.

The demonstrations are organized through the group "World Can't Wait."
