Let's take Hastert's seat!
Thanks to Ted T. for bringing this up at just the right time.

From: don.jones2@...

On behalf of congressional candidate JOHN LAESCH (but not from his political committee)

So, who is the candidate opposing Denny Hastert in Illinois's 14th congressional district? A U.S. Navy veteran, a labor union guy, a straight-shooter. What more could we ask for?

Well....some financial support for his campaign would be nice -:)

Here's where you go to take care of that: http://www.john06.com/

Right now is when we can tie down Hastert so he can't travel around the country campaigning and raising money for other (R)'s.

Thanks for your support!
Don

5. If he's ever going to have a chance, he'll need the cash and support
Edited on Thu Oct-05-06 01:27 PM by riderinthestorm
right now. He won't get a bigger opening than now to break into Hastert's lead. He'll need to keep Denny scrambling to put out John Laesch's fires within this district and that takes money.

8. Yup, you're right
I live in the 6th district, own a farm in Batavia (the 14th) so I have had to endure Henry Hyde and Denny Hastert supporters for years.

I believe the DCCC felt they had a better chance with Hyde's seat since it was going to be a horse race between Duckworth and Roskam. Nobody counted on this Foley thing coming out of left field and providing an opening for Laesch. I think they were trying to allocate resources based upon the chance of winning.

Honestly, John Laesch is a great candidate but Denny Hastert DID seem to be a lock. I can see why the DCCC didn't throw a bunch of money into it.

Maybe now they'll reconsider.

11. Since so many people are being generous to Tennesseans
I just sent a donation to the Laesch campaign. Glad to help out an excellent candidate and here's hoping he can put it to good use now that they have been given a golden opportunity to take Hastert out.

10. We can raise the money for him
Edited on Thu Oct-05-06 01:44 PM by Jeanette in FL
Here is a link to his donate page. He is at $150,000.00 with hopes to reach $250,000.00. http://www.john06.com/donate

Hastert has cancelled his fund raising events for this weekend.

I know that DU can raise this money for Laesch.
