The Ethics investigation will be fair...here's proof
At one point, asked about whether he supported the speaker, Mr. Hastings said: “I think the speaker has done an excellent job.’’

But after being asked how he could be objective in this investigation, given that endorsement, or whether he questioned Mr. Hastert’s leadership, he said he didn’t want to go into that, and wanted to focus on the job at hand. At the end of the news conference, though, he came back to the lectern rather oddly and said, as though he realized the import:

Before we conclude here, I just simply want to say that the remark that I made regarding Speaker Hastert is not related to the matter at hand here.

I don't have the slightest bit of confidence in it.

the Ethics Committee will drag their feet and no findings will surface until after the election when it will be too late, and then the Democrats will come in and take care of business.
