Ronnie Earle Probes Possible Cunningham-DeLay Tie
Ronnie Earle Probes Possible Cunningham-DeLay Tie

Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle, the Texas prosecutor investigating Tom DeLay has “issued a second round of subpoenas to businessmen here seeking records surrounding donations to the former Republican leader and disgraced former Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham.

The subpoenas issued by Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle’s office zero in on transactions in 2002 involving PerfectWave Technologies LLC, a company controlled by Brent Wilkes, a businessman with ties to DeLay and Cunningham.

Wilkes’ attorney has identified him as an unidentified co-conspirator of Cunningham, a California Republican who resigned from Congress after pleading guilty in November to accepting $2.4 million in bribes from defense contractors.

2. Man, that would be great if Earle found a smoking gun!
Delay is crooked as a snake, but he's been very clever at covering his tracks. One would think Abramoffs hiring of Delay's wife for an exhorbitant salary would be enough to nail his sorry ass, but noooo....

3. I read the other day that Earle was trying to reinstate the
Conspiracy charge that the judge dropped before the holidays. Any word on whether this might be part of that action?

4. Earle will bury BugBoy.
There's so much corruption to work with in BugBoy's 'career' that Ronnie suffers from overload. He'll be able to tie TomTom in to every dirty deal in DC. Just wait until Jack A. starts pointing his fingers at people. Nobody will protect the BugBoy - he's too far gone for them to have anything to do with him. Besides, the Cabal looks down on him. They won't help a mere servant.

5. Another DeLay scandal?
Another DeLay scandal?

Oh no! Who could believe that DeLay might have been tied up with disgraced Congressman Duke Cunningham and even more funny money? It's nice to see GOP Majority Leader candidate Blunt in the mix as well. Keeping the spirit of DeLay alive for the team. What a guy.
