Google Bends To Appease China
http://www.cnn.com/2006/BUSINESS/01/24/google.china.ap/index.html

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Online search engine leader Google Inc. has agreed to censor its results in China, adhering to the country's free-speech restrictions in return for better access in the Internet's fastest growing market.

The Mountain View, Calif.-based company planned to roll out a new version of its search engine bearing China's Web suffix ".cn," on Wednesday. A Chinese-language version of Google's search engine has previously been available through the company's dot-com address in the United States.

By creating a unique address for China, Google hopes to make its search engine more widely available and easier to use in the world's most populous country.

Because of government barriers set up to suppress information, Google's China users previously have been blocked from using the search engine or encountered lengthy delays in response time.

Google accepts the Chinese government censorship. At least the Chinese have access to Google but only what their government wants them to see. So far I haven't heard of Google serving up Chinese dissidents to the govenment like Yahoo did.

1. I read that horrible thing that Yahoo did on InfoWars and was hoping it
was wrong -- unbelievable -- we need to have boycotts -- thinking of going to Earthlinks after AOL, MSN, Yahoo and who else gave information to bush's spies. We would not have known about it if Google did not put up a fight and I have started using Google to search instead of AOL. I hope that Google really is fighting and not just another disinfo article.

I had read about only one dissident and should have put his name in my victims of bushco file -- we need to remember our Whistleblowers and the many individuals who have been destroyed by the bush regime especially those being tortured and subjected to mind control. The British attorney of 2 of the 4 UK citizens who were released after her and other britons efforts said that bliar had done nothing to help and that it was her opinion that the reason why we know about Guantanamo Bay is that she thinks it is a test to see if the world will let the bush regime get away with it and apparently they will. She noted that the CIA has been making people disappear into torture prisons for decades and the reason this was made known was to see what the world would do and I think it was also to intimidate people from protesting out of fear. She said this on an Amy Goodman, Air America program and it was before the Secret Renditions were made known by Dana Priest of WaPo.

2. Can you say CARNIVORE????
http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/carnivore_scanner.htm
New Big Brother FBI E-Mail CARNIVORE
Scanner A Meat Eater.

JULY 2000:
The FBI's new super fast system called CARNIVORE has been intact for over a year now.
It's main purpose is to covertly scan millions of e-mail transmissions from suspected
criminals and all public and corporate e-mail communications.
:grr:
The new systems has many ISP companies ranging from worried to frightened,
and with good reason.
The FBI needs to hook up a BLACK BOX directly to every Internet Service Provider
thus giving them access to ALL Internet data in America.
:wow:

Snip-->
ACLU spokesman Barry Steinhardt sent a critical letter to members of congress stating,"
There is no way a ISP company knows what this CARNIVORE program is doing inside their system".
The FBI takes the position of 'Trust Us, were the government, open your entire network to us.'
Members of The Internet Alliance Trade Association (IATA) have voiced their distrust about
Big Brother having complete access to their system.
Many IATA ISP giants such as Earthlink, AOL, MCI WorldCom have said they will not install
the FBI device in a Wall Street Journal July 14,2000 article.

Earthlink technology spokesman Steve Doughtery stated the CARNIVORE program has the potential
to cripple it's network which could effect thousands of people and industries. <--Snip
---------------------------------------------

I know this is dated 2000 but is the NSA using it now, even more, with The Patriot Act?

You should read the WHOLE article...Yikes!
