catching a lot of foreign nationals on this episode. It's been good so far. Just caught some pharmacuetical doc. Looks like they're going to skewer Foley too

Showed the Scarboro clip where he talks about it as a mental health issue. But they didn't show the AMW segment where Foley say's "If I were one of these sicko's..."
Dateline seemed to spin it like it's the internet that is all the problem and we all need to be punished with internet restrictions because these pedophile's have too much freedom.

2. As much as I despise this exploitive, voyeuristic show... |
|
Wouldn't it have been amazing if they'd managed to snare Foley (or any other Congressional predator) in their sting operation? ABC's scoop was quite a thunderbolt, but how wild would it have been if Foley were caught on camera hoping to meet up with an eager young page but walking into NBC's cameras?
Oh, well. Maybe the next GOP predator will get caught that way...

4. For as many people as watch this show, the image of a US |
|
Reprentative mixed among all these guys netted in this sting will be a jarring image. Believe me, it will be an image that sticks.

5. They would never, never |

let that air, If they were to catch a congressman...
Remember this is the GE news network were talking about here.
Hell, if they were being honest. They would be demanding the SWAT treatment they gleefully provide the accused on their show.
But to the contrary, they went overboard to reiterate that NO crime had been committed in the Foley case.
Let alone suggest that he be arrested and searched.

6. Yeah, it seems like they softballed it |
|
but still, the image and the video will be what stays in people's minds. At least I hope it will be.

8. it would depend on who the reporter was |
|
and whether they were willing to run it or risk what the top people say. in ABC's case i think it was Brian Ross who was mostly responsible for the Foley thing. if it was up to anyone else they may not have run it, at least not before the elections.
they have to risk being "dan rathered" . real reporters will do it without thought. someone like Charlie Gibson or Katie Couric probably woulnd't.

you do know that it's not up to peon reporters as to what actually finally gets shown.
This stuff has to get cleared by higher ups first...even with Dan Rather deal.

|
this show is the reason why so many people understood Foleygate from day one.
