It will take many years to clean up this Republican mess...
The question on C-SPAN this morning is about Nancy Pelosi's governing agenda. Whatever agenda Speaker Pelosi may have, it will take more than two or four years to clean up the foreign and domestic messes that have been ignored by the present Republicans. Through it all, the Repubs will be screaming about how the Democratic agenda will destroy our economy or our national security. It's time to tell them to get out of the way. They have done enough damage already.

1. It will take a mighty flush, accompanied by a strong plunger.
Maybe an auger to get rid of the final clog.

I hope that when we take Congress, we focus on fixing the nation and not on avenging the wrongs of the past six years, though. I want our agenda to be based on what we need to do as a nation, not on reversing the evils of the scum who came before us. The latter needs cleaning, no doubt, but I don't want them still setting the agenda, even if it is only in reverse.

2. It always does and just think of this
Bush is trying to get rid of SS which came in in 1933. He feels that is a mess. It usually moves slow in this type of govt. and that is one of the reasons, I am sure for the power grab of Bush. It is not to his liking at all. This has to be really hard on a man like Bush who thinks he is always right or is so un-sure of him self. Many on that side think any social service to the people is bad. We are all to do it on our own as if they did but then they never think of that. We heard that Polosi was the ome that the GOP would go after and looks like it is working some what.

3. It will take decades to clean up the mess * has done in the last 6
years. And he still has 2 years left. Face it - unless a gov't is out getting into wars, the only thing it has left to do is make people's lives better or shut down.

4. The damage to our military forces alone

will be felt for many years. I'm wondering how many critical reports on that issue are being withheld.
