Kentucky Kleptocrats: Don't Smoke Mitch and Elaine's Dope
Twice-married, once-divorced Addison Mitchell McConnell, Jr. would have us all believe that he is the friend of the small Kentucky tobacco farmer.

Now before you drift off to the dulcet tones of "My Ol' Kentucky Home," let's review a thing or two about Mitch the Moral Midget:

1. Values Voter? I think not. While piously intoning about the "sanctity of marriage" to keep us pesky gay and lesbian couples from enjoying the *civil* protections afforded by marriage, Mitch the Moral Midget divorced his first wife, and married trophy wife Elaine Chao, now the Secretary of Labor (more on her in a moment). The *civil* protections afforded to Mitch the Moral Midget in his first marriage included the right to have his union dissolved with the full protections of divorce law. For a list of the other *civil* protections afforded by marriage: http://www.thetaskforce.org/community/marriagecenter.cfm

2. Sith Lord Wannabe. Yep, for damn sure. Did you see him standing behind Bush with Frist, during the press conference on the deal to pass the unconstitutional encroachment on our civil rights last week? Tsk, tsk. Don't these Neo-Siths know their Sith History? Having more than two always leads to trouble: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=sith+lord+%22always+two+there+are%22+no+more+less+master+apprentice

For the picture of Bush, Frist, and McConnell, the Unholy Triumvirate: http://images.google.com/images?as_q=mcconnell+frist+bush&svnum=10&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=hs.fi&as_oq=&as_eq=&imgsz=&as_filetype=&imgc=&as_sitesearch=&safe=images

3. W's Wormtongue? Oh, hell yes! You don't get to be the Chairman of the 2000 Inaugural Committee without doing some ***serious*** toadying, folks: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=mcconnell+inaugural+mitch+chairman+of+the+joint+ceremonies+congressional

Let's now look at Mitch the Moral Midget's fellow Kentucky Kleptocrat, the Lovely Labor Liar, Elaine Chao:

1. Adultress? You betcha! At least, that's what Mitch the Moral Midget (a Baptist) professes to believe: http://www.sbc.net/

As for me, I'm more of a Red-Letter Christian, and Mitch the Moral Midget "cain't" point to a single red-letter sentence in the New Testament castigating gays and lesbians. Jesus was a progressive, and if you think the hissy fit he threw at the money lenders in the Temple was something, just imagine what he'd say about the unholy practices of Kentucky Kleptocrats like Mitch and Elaine.

2. Apologist for the Bush/Cheney Chain Gang's Weakening of Pensions? Without a doubt! Labor Secretary Elaine Chao and Labor Solicitor Eugene SCALIA (yes, of "that" Scalia family) pulled out all the stops to cover up Kenny Boy Lay's use of Enron's pension funds as funny money. Chao and Scalia charged headlong into Federal Court to have a Bush-friendly trustee installed at Enron, to help figure out who the "troublemakers" were going to be among the pissed-off pensioners: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=elaine+chao+scalia+%22state+street%22+enron

Who is the CEO of State Street, the trustee that was handpicked by the Bushies? The high school chum of Andy Card. Next week, I am due up in Boston on trespass charges for daring to question the State Street CEO about matters he didn't want to discuss in front of the "independent" Board of Directors, other shareholders, and the media.

3. AWOL on the Dresser Retirees' case against Halliburton? Yup. Elaine Boy Chao took a pass on getting involved in the Dresser Retirees' claims against Halliburton, regarding the medical coverage that Dick Cheney promised them while CEO in 1998. I guess it would just be too awkward for the Labor Secretary to serve Cheney with a subpoena in a Cabinet meeting: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=dresser+retirees+insurance+halliburton

As Paul Harvey used to say, "And now you know the rest of the story..."

1. Small item to add to Mitch & Elaine's little "misdeeds"
The University of Louisville has the McConnell Center for Political Leadership. Mitchy and Elaine have gone about for years raising money for this little adventure while openly defying the open record laws of the state as to who gives this little mess money. They have lost suit after suit with judge after judge demanding they open their books and let a little sunshine into the contributory list. What on earth are they hiding?

There is a lot of speculation that a lot of money was received from high level officials in the Chinese government (whom good ol' Elaine has high placed family). If so, why are they giving money to a repug's little ego massage in Kentucky and what have they expected in return?

And just for the record - every single state school that has a similar school of politics (ex - Wendell H. Ford Public Policy Research Center at the University of Kentucky has laid open all their records and contributors).

Mitch and Elaine are so dirty, mean, nasty, and partisan they couldn't come clean if they spent the next century in a confessional at Vatican City.

2. Which Is Why...
Elaine Boy Chao can expect to be facing a lawsuit, seeking relief in the nature of madamus, in very short order.

In America, our confessionals are the witness stand and the jury box.

3. What law suit? Explain seeking relief in the nature of madamus.
Inquiring Kentuckian just dying to know!

Hope Elaine ends up spending weeks on end on the witness stand. She is completely clueless in matters of labor, doesn't care she is clueless and willingly spouts the repug talking points on cue without any regard to the thousands (millions?) of families she destroy in the process.

4. Relief in the Nature of Mandamus
The ancient writ of mandamus forced an official to perform his/her duty.

Although the writ itself has been abolished in the U.S., relief "in the nature of" mandamus is still alive and well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandamus

So, relief in the nature of mandamus can be sought from a Federal court, to compel a mere Cabinet officer to do her duty.

Stay tuned for the v. Elaine Chao lawsuit. I'll post details once it's filed.

5. Andy Card, Elaine Chao, Eugene Scalia, and State Street Bank
"Any memo like this should be marked CONFIDENTIAL so as to avoid discovery. Destroy any record of this memo." -- State Street executive Nicholas A. Lopardo, in handwritten instructions to a former compliance officer at the Corporation. Mr. Lopardo was formerly (1) a Director of State Street Corporation; (2) Vice Chairman of State Street Corporation; (3) Chairman of State Street Global Advisors ("SSgA"), the asset management division of State Street Corporation; and (4) a Director of the Boston Stock Exchange.
***************************************

Why did Elaine Chao and Eugene Scalia tap State Street to become the special fiduciary to keep Kenny Boy Lay's use of the Enron pension plans as funny money hushed up?

Because - as the "destruction of evidence memo" shows, State Street's top execs will do what it takes to cover up evidence of wrongdoing.

That, plus the fact that Andy Card and the current CEO of State Street are old high school buddies, along with Ron Kaufman - the architect of Bush 41's Willie Horton ad campaign.
