edited to add I am so sorry about your struggle. I'm not gay but know many who are (including my half brother) and I can only imagine how hard it must be to deal with the prejudice.

... and no need to send condolences my way. I refuse to play the victim over being gay. Neither my birth certificate nor my copy of the Constitution includes caveats or limitations on my citizenship rights, and I refuse to behave like three-fifths of a citizen.

That said, being raised as a gay Pentecostal provides rich material for writing - some of which is so funny, it hurts.

My partner and I just celebrated 12 years, and we never fail to be amazed at how many of the biggest GOP "Values Voter" loudmouths are on their second or third marriages.

9. Thanks for the link. I wish we'd go the same direction as the Netherlands

where EVERYONE gets a civil union and marriages are a religious ceremony that has nothing to do with the government.

11. The writer of Latter Days wrote into it some great scenes that

showed God working miracles. I always thought that God would do things in simple ways that showed in the movie.
