Baghdad to become walled city

Oct. 7 - Iraq has started work on barricades and earth walls around the capital Baghdad.

The construction is designed to further control movement in and out of the Iraq's capital.

Iraq's Interior Ministry has announced it would set up checkpoints at 28 access points and close all other roads into Baghdad as part of its Baghdad clampdown.
