We have leaders in all facets of government who apparently have Alzheimer's or at least pre-Alzheimer's.
They seemingly cannot remember the simplest stuff..
Did they see a memo that was handed to them, read to them, addressed to them, saved by them?
Did they hear themselves actually saying the very words they would deny over and over again?
Why can't they remember if, when, by whom they were notified of one of their fellow congressmen's dastardly indiscretion?
From the top to the bottom of this organization, it is riddled with amnesiacs.
And yet, there are moments of clarity, however brief, when they CAN recall a single sentence plucked from an obscure speech made years ago, by an opponent, but they cannot recall, don't remember, mis-remember things that they, themselves, said.
Bad memories are dangerous when we have to rely on these folks to remember the vicissitudes of history, the nuances of of foreign policy, and the needs of the United States and its people.
People who shoot their mouths off, and then cannot "remember" what they said, are a bigger danger to us that any outsider wishing us harm.
Perhaps they should be required to wear a "wire" at all times, so WE cvould hear what they say, to whom they speak...maybe we could "remember" what they said FOR them...
