7. This is where I think he's been for a long time. In fact, I truly believe
that right now he's in the 20's, probably mid 20s (thanks to numbskulls like my mother).

He's losing the hard-core religious base he sooooo counted on for so long. They can't keep overlooking his lies and deceitful behavior forever. And a lot of them are working people so they can't keep overlooking the crap economy forever. And they are very anti-gay so they will not overlook the hypocrisy of the republicans covering for Foley (albeit for the WRONG reason). They'll see Foley as the dreaded gay man first, a child stalker second, neither one which will go down well with them. And they revelations of more gays in the republican party, especially gays who may have covered up for Foley will kick their homophobia into high gear.

The republicans are toast. Only Diebold and EE&S can save them now.

8. Agreed and Well Said.
I think you are absolutely on target here. Diebold is their saviour, but they are certainly losing support and I agree with your estimates of the numbers. The problem the so called social conservatives have is just who can they support? These guys that lied to them are not going to give them more than a couple of bones and lip service. Without changing their focus from the god, gays and guns agenda to things that might actually matter they are in a pretty hopeless situation (which is why I suspect the support remains listed in the 30's - they don't have anywhere else to go). Just my 2 cents.

10. A great sign of Bush's approval rating
my congressman Peter 'I agree with whatever my President says' King (R) has been running campaign ads that consist of Ed Koch saying he's a Democrat who supports Peter King.

11. Jim Talent has also
dropped him from his ads. I can't wait for the end.
