Fact is (and I checked this right after Pat's comment) that every southern state except Florida, Virgina, and Texas have the age of constent at sixteen. Is the Mississippi State Legislature "in thrall" to the gay lobby? Doubtful.

the internet is a great place to expand a pedophiles horizons? What makes anyone think that his internet trysts were limited to congressional pages all above the age of consent. It is after all the victims "Youth" a pedophile is fixated on. Other wise, he'd have relationships with men his own age and there'd be no scandal. I wonder if AOHell has logs of their chatroom texts?

Even if all the boys Foley approched were consenting and gay (I don't think they were all gay) they still have a right to a work place free of hostility, so at the very least Foley is guilty of sexual harassment.

The one that lead to his eventual discovery was 16. However, the one that lead him to resign was almost 18. He wasn't the only page to have a sexually explicit conversation with Foley, just the only person to keep his IMs. He was a Republican, all these pages are Republicans who have been preyed upon.

There are several other who were picked and advanced upon by Foley, and they say he tried to solicit them over the internet for sex, a crime for anyone under 18, even though it may not be illegal for them to have sex. (Ironic isn't it?)
