War/violence has been the cause of ethnic/culturual success

Every ethnic group that is in the majority and that occupies significant amount of desireable land has succeeded because they are/have been successful warriors. Groups where the people were not successful warriors were exterminated, assimilated, pushed to the least desireable land, or lived as oppressed minorities. The vast majority of the world's inhabitants are descendents of successful conqueres.
Knowing this, how can we hope to end war, terrorism, and violence in general?

1. I do not hope. There will always be war between humans.

2. All war is based in deceit. Would you be rationalizing deceit?

War is a primative, impulsive response driven by infantile wishes and desires.

Being a warrior is a whole different thing than being a THIEF.

The act of war on innocent people is the grossest, most evil form of thievery and cowardice enacted by the most primative, myopic, dishonest of men.

3. I don't approve of it, but that doesn't change the facts

It is part of our history, a history that has been bred into us and taught to us. We show no signs of leaving that behind.

5. History has been written by the liars and those who abuse power

and privilege.

That can change, but only if we empower everyone and not just those who act entitled and are pathological takers and parasites by training.

It takes courage and participation to train bullies to live fairly and well in society, but believe it or not, they want structure and balance too.

We all do, and we all need it.

It is up to the 'village' to hold everyone accountable, not just those who are already accountable and being abused.

4. With one notable caveat:

They must have a culture that the conquered are willing to adopt. Ultimately the Franks were not successful--good conquerors, horrible at assimilating. Nobody wanted to adopt Frankish culture; the Franks adopted local culture. Same for most other German tribes that did the invading, unless they were into extermination, or more populous.

One exception may be the Albanians: They weren't great warriors, but by becoming Muslims they had the protection of the rulers, and some perks. They also had a birth rate higher than that of the Slavs around them. Then again, we could class their 'ethnicity' as 'assimilated Muslim', with the oppressed being the Slavs, and make them fit your scenario without much of a problem.

There's a second caveat that has no applicability today, as well: When H. sapiens moved into uninhabited areas. The Polynesian expansion fits that bill.

Otherwise it pretty much works for Europe, Asia, Africa, N. and S. America.
