What do you think our chances of taking back the Senate |
|
and/or House with Howard Dean as chairman of the DNC?
While half-listening to the news last night I heard a Republican Senator (name unknown) state that if the Democrats filibustered the Alito nomination they would "... clean our clocks." I'm so pissed off. I want these assholes out. However, one of the most frequent complaints re: the Democratic Party is that it has no platform. I think Dean needs to develop something very much like the Repuke's Contract with America and develop a real plan to attack the incumbents (R) with the same animosity and shamelessness that they attack us with.

1. as good as with somebody else and may be better. The fact that |

Republican senators are going around saying that the Democrats are making a losing move if they filibuster Alito should tell us something: that they are afraid we do so.
As for the "Contract for America", most people do not remember it was written only a few weeks before the 94 elections. We really need to forget about the Republican spin and focus about what is important: fighting again and again.

what the status of the war is, whether the Abramoff scandal leads to indictments of repukes in the House, and whether the democrats find their voices. As far as Dean goes, it's really not up to him to develop something like the 'pukes Contract. His job is organize and fund.

4. with electronic voting machines.... |

none. Dems don't win when votes are counted on electronic voting machines.
It's a shame the Democratic party doesn't seem to get this.

BushCo cannot afford to allow the Democrats to control either house of Congress . . . and as long as they control the voting mechanism, they have the means to prevent it . . . which they most certainly will do . . .
