Republicans searching desperately for a Democratic "scandal"?
When they send Jack Kingston out with a dwarfish, Rush Limbaugh-type with nothing but a lot of hot air between them, they are searching. They have been rocked back on their heels with the Foley scandal. This is not a place they are accustomed to. The shoe is usually on the other foot and they are pressing the charges. However, they have a situation which is indefensible. Their only option is to try and find a "scandal" on their opponents. You can bet they will keep slinging mud until something sticks. This is their game. How can they be losing?

2. No need...they'll just make one up, feed it to Drudge, who Limbaugh then
cites.... Fox and CNN pick it up...then on to the AP and the networks.

3. A scandal? Not being in power and these crooks running DC is a scandal.
I'm sure they will keep digging, but the seeds of a RW trainwreck have been sown.

4. I think Harry Reid
used to be a thug who'd get into many fights and pummel people.
I know...I know...he says he was in boxing matches, but give faux news time. They'll make him out to be an unconvicted multiple offending thug.

on note: I also heard that Rep Boxer was cited for jay-walking forty years ago.:sarcasm:

I guess I was channeling faux news' 'rep foley (D-FL)' routine.

8. Coming up on Hannity & Holes... are the liberal media hiding JayWalkGate?

Of course Murtha's pretty vulnerable on pork barreling, but the GOP is obviously much more vulnerable there, too.

6. They spent 8 yrs during Clinton's admin to turn up something
I never believed that they only focused on Bill. Anything to damage the Dems was fair game. So I think they're having a hard time digging up more now. But you're 100% right. They're digging with long handled shovels.

9. Swift Boat ...
They can always bring it up again.

But if the Democrats are smart they will say the Senate never bothered to pursue it because it was a fake from day one.

Of course, the Dems could use the Downing Street memo which has been used to crucify Blair in the UK and could just as readily be used here against Bush. But the Dems refuse to take off the kid gloves and treat Bush with far too much politeness.
