So thrilled to see DU mentioned in the book "Censored 2006"!
I was reading parts of this paperback in Borders last night -- it's the top 25 "censored" stories of the past couple of years (what really happenend on 9/11, how the 2000, 2002 and 2004 elections were stolen, etc.)

And in the story about the election irregularities, the author noted his list of weird occurrences in Nov. 2004 coincided with DU's ... and he notes he quoted a couple of items directly from DU (and gave the thread address).

Congrats to DU for being credited with keeping this in the public eye!

1. .
DU is beginning to gain recognition. They know about this place, but don't want to go there.

3. The thread address was so long in the footnote, I couldn't copy it down
while in the store. I'll try next time I'm there, though, if I can find a good place to sit.

The DU thread was mentioned in the foonote of a list of "if you believe Bush truly won in 2004, you would also have to believe that ... x, y and z." In which x, y and z are improbable happenings that DON'T add up to a victory for Bush in Ohio!

The author said he took "items 7 and 8" directly from a similar list in the thread on DU.

Seriously, I've been getting them for the last few years. The Censorship Project is an ongoing study by Sonoma State University in California, and their "year book" is a real eye-opener.
