WAKE UP AMERICA, THE GOP HAS FAILED YOU! |
|
The GOP has failed miserably in every single area. How anyone could vote for a Republican nowadays is beyond me. Let us count some of the ways in which the GOP has failed:
- The GOP campaigns as the party of "small" government - yet under their watch, spending has skyrocketed, and the federal government keeps getting bigger and more powerful.
- The GOP proclaims to be the party of "family" and "moral" values. They seek to impose severe fines on TV and radio stations for "indecent" material. Yet we find that they tried to cover up one of their member's affairs with an UNDERAGE young man!
- The GOP claims that they are strong on defense and intelligence. Yet they ignored warnings about Al Qaeda, which could have prevented 9-11 from ever happening in the first place. Not only that, but they instigate a war against Iraq, which has only caused more resentment throughout the Islamic world. With their 'you are with us or against us' attitude, they have alienated many countries that might have been willing to help us. We are far less safe than we were prior to 2000.
- The GOP has antagonized both Iran and North Korea to the point where both countries are seeking nuclear weapons. In fact, North Korea likely already possesses several. Bush's hard-line attitude helped propel Iran's current leader into power. Right now, Bush refuses to deal directly with either of these countries, preferring instead to antagonize them further. Left unchecked, this doctrine could very well lead to both countries posessing nuclear weapons.
- The GOP has obliterated civil liberties in the name of the 'war on terror'. Thanks to the GOP, you can now be labeled an 'enemy combatant' simply for attending an anti-war rally. You no longer have to actually take up arms against the US, you can be declared an EC for 'providing aid & comfort' to the enemy. We routinely hear rabid RW talk radio hosts declaring the Democrats and anyone who criticizes Bush to be traitors. They are currently constructing dozens of secret prisons around the United States to house these enemy combatants. Once arrested, you have NO rights. You will simply disappear, leaving your family and friends to wonder what happened to you.
- The GOP claims to be the party of inclusion and tolerance. Yet we continue to see the GOP preach xenophobic and homophobic messages. We see the GOP embrace, possibly as a frontrunner for '08, a man who it has been shown frequently used the "n" word, and recently used another racial slur.
And this is only a partial list of the ways in which the GOP has completely and utterly failed.
Wake up, America - it's time to toss every single one of these Republicans out of office!

that their party failed them.
My bets, though, are that Republicans never were working for America in the first place. However, I suppose that is somewhat debatable.
But they can't deny that Republicans, at best, have failed. Every time

2. They haven't failed Americans, they've raped Americans. |

Failure implies they tried. They've tried alright - to intentionally devastate and shock and awe this country into submission.

3. I agree with you on every point |
|
Too bad the democratic party has also failed to take advantage of their failings. So far.
This election cycle should be a route, a slam dunk, almost a joke, a trouncing, a severe beating, every rethug should be run out on a rail, but this will possibly be the closest election in the the house and senate for control in many years.

4. There is one thing the GOP has done quite well |
|
They have managed to tap into the religious fundamentalism in this country quite well. We all know that many of the GOP leaders don't give a shit about Christ, as is evident by their actions. But somehow, they have the religious right convinced that they are the only party that represents them, and that the Democrats are a bunch of Godless communists. Despite all the sex scandals involving various GOP leaders, they continue to tap into the fundamentalist community.

5. They have all the hate-spread-radio "programs," they own most |
|
of M$M (main$tream media) with CEOs who make 3,000-something times (and growing) more income than their least-paid employees, they also own most major papers across the land, Big Oil & the Military Industrial Complex... In spite of all their combined propaganda, it now looks like they failed to keep the 90% 'approval-ratings' from sinking like the supposedly unsinkable Titanic did...
What else is out there for progressives to buy-out for them to get 'even'? Imagine if we could 'buy' similar 'message-carrying' facilities??
