Something I've noticed about Chimpy, courtesy of TDS |
|
Jon showed clips of Chimpy speaking before the audience in Kansas yesterday.
When confronted with a question about his bullshit policies (i.e., cuts in education grants), he immediately plays that "I'm sorry, I can't hear you" card.
I've seen him do that several times.
Yet when a Chimp worshipping moron tells him what a great president he is, he is all ears and his hearing problem goes completely away.
Also, I think Team Bush has borrowed some of their material from the Simpsons.
In "Two Cars in Every Garage, Three Eyes on Every Fish", Mr. Burns runs for governor. He has a photo op dinner with the Simpsons, and Lisa and Homer are given these supportive, praising "questions" to ask Burns during dinner.
Lisa: ``Mr. Burns: your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?''

1. Saw it, but did TDS debunk Bush's lie? No. |

Bush said that there were not cuts to the program. That it had been made more efficient.
-
Dick Cheney cast the tie breaking vote to cut the program by $12B.

2. Ever see Richard Belzer do his Ronald Reagan walk? |
|
Miming walking to Air Force One, putting hand to ear, pretending not to hear reporters' questions.
Belzer did it as more of a dance--very funny stuff.
I think bush may have been emulating ronnie.

5. He did it twice that day....Both were critical questions |
|
The second one asked when we were going to disarm our nukes.
I wonder if he wears an earpiece and needs some time to be fed a diplomatic and concise answer....something he's not known for.

6. I'm sorry I can't hear you is a cue to Karl Rove to whisper an answer in |
