Suspect in terror hunt used veil to evade arrest
A MALE suspect in a major anti-terrorist investigation in Britain escaped capture by allegedly disguising himself as a Muslim woman dressed in a burka, The Times can reveal.
The man, who was wanted in connection with serious terrorist offences, evaded arrest for several days as police searched for him across the country.

The fact that a fugitive remained at large after disguising himself in an Islamic dress which covered his face will further fuel the debate sparked by Jack Straw, Leader of the House of Commons, about the wearing of the veil.

Details of the man’s true identity were circulated to ports and airports to try to prevent him leaving the country.

He was eventually caught and is now one of more than 90 suspects in British prisons awaiting trial on terror charges. ........ http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2395178,00.html

2. That's a leap...they'd need to have a reason to stop the "woman" and
scan "her" to get the info off the implanted chip. Those RFID chips have to pass near a scanner to be read.

Now, if you're talking about a GPS technology, we're a ways distant from being able to implant that easily.

3. I think he/she is referring to the US population in terms of fascism
Rather than any Muslim population in the name of stopping terror. That's how I read it.

4. Regardless, the comment stands regardless of hijab or no hijab.
The disguise could be a rubber nose and a pair of sunglasses, or a wig and beard. Or something simple like contact lenses and hair dye.

The point remains that chips need to be read by a scanner. You can't simply "pinpoint" someone with existing RFID technology.

We're still a ways from being able to slide GPS technology the size of a half grain of rice into people.

5. PUBLIC technology is still a ways to go.
You can bet that when they start chipping people under whatever stupid excuse they come up with, the techology will be their to track them 24/7.
