Iran CAN'T have nukes, but N. Korea can. Splain dat to me george |
|
Is it because there's no oil or Israel near N. Korea? Is it because we don't have the troops to spare? Is it because they are not Muslims? You keep saying that Iran cannot have a nuke program, no exceptions, but lil' Kim can, how come george?
Is it because you only pick on those you know you can beat, like the classic bully? Or are you a chickenshit cut and runner?

And when he does get up he needs a good hour to try and get over the hangover.

3. Yeah, let's see what big bad George does now. |

The military is too stretched to do anything and he is focused on Iran. This could get interesting.

"Let's look at it simply. The most important difference between North Korea and Iraq is that economically, we just had no choice in Iraq. The country swims on a sea of oil."
- Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, June 01 2003, when asked why a nuclear power such as North Korea was being treated differently from Iraq, where hardly any weapons of mass destruction had been found.

10. Some possible factors. |
|
Firstly, there's nothing much America can do about North Korea aquiring nukes. I don't think there's much America can do about Iran aquiring nukes, either, but many people disagree with me on that.
Secondly, North Korea isn't in the Middle East - arguably the most volatile flashpoint in the world today, the area which receives most publicity in the American media, and the area where most of the US's foreign policy has been focussed recently
Thirdly, while there's not much to choose between the ruler of North Korea and the rulers of Iran in terms of lunacy and unpleasantness (the latter are probably slightly worse than the former, but frankly there's no settling the precedence between a louse and a flea), the former is possibly more motivated by hedonism and self-interest, and less by religious zeal and fanaticism, and hasn't recently called for a neighbouring nation to "be wiped of the face of the earth" or "vanish from the pages of time" (depending on who you listen to).

11. He can't stop either of them, which is something the dumbass |

should have thought about before plastering the globe with his absolutist rhetoric about how he will not permit this and won't allow that. If he won't live with a nuclear North Korea, as his gov't has said, then it's time for him to hang himself.

12. Here's my take on why... |
|
In my view it's relatively simple, North Korea doesn't realy have any economic (oil) interests, nor a strategic position to influence the same.

14. Right, NK has no oil or other economic interest, not any strategic value |
|
relative to them. I think it is hilarious (and pathetic) that Kim blames the threat of US invasion for his need to starve his people to build a bomb designed to keep the US out.
