Some Very Good News
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 10:52 AM by demwing
According to the poll following powers that be at Electoral-vote.com, both houses of congress are strongly leaning toward the Democratic Party this year.

Projected New Senate:
50 Democrats
49 Republicans
1 tie

Now, this site say CT is strong Dem, probably on the assumption that Lieberman will caucus with the Blue party. I say we shouldn't hold our breath, but send Lamont an extra fiver if you can.

Projected New House:
219 Democrats
215 Republicans
1 Tie

As an asterisk to that, the sites states that where no independent polls exist, the 2004 election results have been used. Thus, if things tend to go badly for the Republicans in general, those numbers could swing even further into blue territory.

Here's the link for details.

1. This information is more important to bush then a Presidential Briefing
which clearly stated:

TERRORISTS ARE FIXING TO HIT THE U. S. IN A VERY BIG WAY.

Course bush and his PNAC pals wanted terrorists to hit the U. S., then he could be a "war president."

ANYONE REMOTELY CONNECTED TO THE PNAC SHOULD BE HUNG BY THEIR NECK UNTIL DEAD.

2. I hope this comes true
but I was dismayed the other day listening to someone (I don't know who it was) on NPR saying that the gerrymandering is so profound in many places that it is doubtful that the Dem's could pull it off.

3. Here's where I find this data faulty...
IL-10 from 2004 shows approx. 36% vote for the Dem candidate & approx. 66% for the (rubber stamper) republican (Mark Kirk). I know for fact that the Dem candidate for 2004 didn't campaign all that much & was significantly underfunded. While he's a great guy, he really didn't present well to the public.

Fast forward to today in 2006 when we have a very strong & viable candidate in Dan Seals. The energy & reception of this guy is huge. Our district went for Kerry, but somehow they believed in the propaganda that Kirk spews of being a moderate, so many Dems were fooled into voting for him. Well his voting record proves that wrong. So now, not only are the Dems excited about Dan Seals, but so are moderate republicans. DCCC has finally recognized him as an emerging race.

I'm wondering if this is true for other districts. If so, we could really take the house.

6. I think we may even exceed our expectations.

I personally think the Dems will get huge majorities primarily because of the Latino vote. You have to admit, a lot of Latinos have really been screwed over and they're pissed and want change.

BTW, what do the polls say about the projected make up of the Governorship?

8. The Governors Race Looks Good!
Check Election Projection site:
http://www.electionprojection.com/elections2006.html

It projects the Senate race outcome at a 49/49/2 tie, the House at 220 Rep & 215 Dem, and the Governors at 24 Rep & 26 Dem.

Gains all around, though I think their House projections are a little modest.
