Jon Stewart dispels rumor of White House run
**Snip**
Those people wearing "Stewart/Colbert '08" T-shirts can stop hoping — Comedy Central's fake news stars have no intention of making a run for the White House.

Jon Stewart said the T-shirts promoting him and Stephen Colbert "are a real sign of how sad people are" with the state of affairs in the country.

"Nothing says 'I am ashamed of you my government' more than 'Stewart/Colbert '08,' Stewart told an audience Sunday at the New Yorker Festival. He was interviewed by the magazine's editor, David Remnick.

1. Those two show more intelligence than this administration.
Funny how you feel safer and more like a community when you watch TDS and TCR.

3. Exactly
I never ever miss either one of their shows. That is the only way for me to deal with the stress of this State of the Union.

Since I also work with comics and videos, I have to look at these people everyday and believe me trying to find a sense of humor in all this is the only thing to help me keep my sanity....

2. They are Comics...damn good and insightful ones but still comics
and not Politicians or even Journalists (although they do a better job than most major networks...)

I was hoping he would say something along those lines.

4. They both show what a strong dose of Irony Taste like
Sometimes I think I OD on all the irony these shows produce. But it is JUST what the Doctor ordered.

I only watch Keith Olbermann, TDS, and TCR. I know better than to watch Corporate News Media.

I'm also on Media Matters email list so they let me know what the Corporate News is up to and it usually pisses me off. So, I always look forward to my 3 sources of comic relief from the above mentioned shows.
