It's a sad, sad day for the United Nations, and indeed the world
So much for the days of an independent United Nations. Kofi Annan has to be one of the strongest leaders the UN has had in recent memory. Now, the United States gets its own sock-puppet installed. You know that any candidate that John Bolton favors can't be good for the overall well-being of the UN. Gone are the days of Kofi Annan standing up to the US.

It's a very sad day indeed.
