Slimey Sanctorium at Lobby Reform Hearings
Russ Feingold gives his clear, intelligent views on lobbying reform. No posturing, just honest ideas. Santorum comes up after him sounding like an immature child, bragging, every other word is 'I' - 'I WAS asked by Frist to write this reform', 'MY blah blah was blah blah (so it should be MY reform ideas)'. Russ feels like a breath of fresh air - after Sanctorium I feel slimed.

Now, we all know the Repuke's phoniness on this issue, but WHAT a transparent POS he is! I've always hated those personality types.

1. The problem is, Santorum is THE power on K Street.
As head of the K Street Project, he is "the MAN" - he hands out the assignments, period. I can't see ANY RePIGlican giving that much power into the hands of Democrate, let alone Rich Sanctimonious...

3. He's not the head of the reform commitee
and he's got several repugs clammoring to look like they're the reformers.

And I didn't know he was the head of the radioactive K Street Project, lol, no wonder he's practically begging the commitee to let it be his fingerprints (if I understand correctly) on lobby reform. he's so done in PA.

And he's been very smug even though he's been way behind Casey in the polls.

In peace,

5. We have the old fashioned lever booths here outside of Philly
Do you really think he could get away with pulling this off - with Casey ahead by 20 pts??

I skimmed the diebold thread, will go back and give it some serious reading tonight.

6. I just don't know anymore Sugarcoated. Specter
took 64 of 67 districts winning with over double the # of his opponents votes in all but I think it was 3 districts last time. It smelled fishy to me and being mathematically challenged with probabilities I have no chance of figuring it out. :(

Scumtorum is being sooo smug even with the polls looking so bad for him.

I'm in a small town in NW Pa. We've been using lever booths forever too. I guess that's over now.

I'm afraid PA may end up as 2008's OH/FL.

But I am an optimist :) so it could end up worse.

All any of us can do is anyway is speculate and see who hit closest to correct after all is said and done.

In peace,
V

7. NW Pa is beautiful country (as is most of PA)
I have faith in Gov. Rendell, Vickiss. He's a saavy guy. Moderate to be sure, but, he knows what's going on. I'm gonna try that route. I'm going to contact him. Repeatedly. If anyone can take the "tinfoil hat" stigma off of voter fraud, he can.

I used to be much less cynical about the moderate politicos. Hell, I actually voted for Ridge for Congress first time he ran. My bad. He ended up a * bitch, bought and paid for life.

Let us know if you have any luck getting through with Rendell. I just read he's backing Alito.

Argh!

In peace,
V

2. I changed the channel when sanatorium began to speak
Senator Feingold *is* a breath of fresh air. Besides all of his other wonderful qualities, Feingold also carries himself as an executive.

Wonder why?

Wonder if Santorum's plan will be the one adopted by the Senate?
