Republican defection letter, this is good.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig6/stokes3.html

"In a free, democratic society, political affiliation is an informed, continually evaluated decision; not a bond of blind loyalty, like that of dog to man.

I hereby take leave of the Republican Party, for the time being anyway, at least as an active participant. Hopefully, the GOP will soon again merit the support of Americans who believe in individual freedom, personal responsibility and limited government. I will continue to work for those values and for candidates who support them, irrespective of party affiliation."

2. Do you think the leaders keep a list of all these testimonials and
sit down to analyze them and figure out how they should change or do they just say - those fools - we'll steal the vote again and then move to shut down those dissenters - we don't need democracies, anyway.

5. Diebold is a major concern.
It is who counts the vote that matters, and that is scary.

3. my favorite quote:
Do not glibly say (in ignorance or after consulting only right wing sources) "My Party's leader (President Bush) has acted, it is my duty to trust his judgment." That is not discharging the duty of a responsible conservative and citizen of a free society. That is being an idiot, or a fascist.

4. That is a good part.
I think that many people don't want to believe that they can be a part of something so bad. They say we can't become another Germany. I don't care where somebody is from, what race, political party, etc., humans are humans, and given the same motivations, many people will be led to the same results. This guy had to step back and look in the mirror, and he had to admit he would no longer support a party that has been handed to Neo Cons. We need a lot more Americans to see this way.

We also need to make sure that if we win back the house and senate, that the system of checks and balances that has been discarded is put back into place, and that the Dems don't find their own type of corruption.

I can't tell you how many times I've been ordered to heel by the Democratic Party.

7. More Americans in general need to understand that.
The administration has used fear to drive people away from the constitution, and some dems believe that the exact opposite approach is correct. There has to be middle ground. The extreme is what got us in this mess as it is.
