PA GOP and absentee ballots
My wife is a Republican. (Yeah, yeah. I know. She's registered that way because she wants to keep the lunatics from winning in the primaries; the R's keep winning here in PA-6, so she's dedicated to voting in the Republican primaries.)

This is germaine to the fact that we have now received three phone calls from the Pennsylvania Republican Party asking my wife to send in an absentee ballot request. This is in the course of just a week. Two of the calls were automated, and one of them was a live human who left a very halting and stuttered recitation of their boilerplate message on our answering machine.

Sounds like they're getting desperate for votes.

1. No, it's a good tactic that dem's should be doing as well....
More and more states have releaxed the qualifications for absentee ballot voting and so the parties would like to contact people who are registered as a party voter to try the absentee route...

We always sent out application to all senior democrats and anyone who have requested an absentee in the previous election cycle...

It's a great way to contact voters cause you know they are gonna vote...

We concentrated our whole effort for the most recent primary on absentee voters and it showed...

4. But they've *never* done this before.
I've been with her for a decade and a half, and this is the first time the GOPedophiles have contacted her about anything, much less absentee voting.

2. The other possibility
is that they know the voting machines can't be trusted.

3. Say, rather, that your wife is registered as a Republican
That sounds far less sinister. :hi:

Actually, it sounds like they are getting desperate for easily stealable votes.
