17. These Log Cabin people make no sense...

...they're not welcomed by the gay activist community, many of whom call the Log Cabin crew "traitors", and most Republicans, from prominent national officeholders to state party chairmen, want nothing to do with them at all. Their own party opposes their activities and practically their existence. I just don't get it.

18. There are many factions of each political party...

so it does make sense once you step away from your own perspective. LCRs belong to the liberal/moderate wing of the Republican party usually...yes there is one of those. Just as there is a very conservative wing of the Democratic party.

There are pro-choice repubs and pro-life dems, anti-war repubs and pro-war dems, etc...

Sexual orientation has no bearing on political philosophy. I think accusing someone of being a traitor says more about the accuser than the person being accused.

We are supposed to see repubs as the opposition not an enemy. Of course the extreme RW of the repub party started it and trying to ignore them has caused the mess we are in today. Hell, the repubs themselves ignored them and have lost their party to them...

It will be interesting to see what the fundies and neocons will do...will they form a third party or will they purge the moderate pubs who will have to join the dems or form their own party?

Personally, I see the neocons joining the dems and the fundies realizing the hypocrisy of the leaders they followed and becoming wary.

19. I will never understand Log Cabinettes

...as long as I live. They somehow believe that they are better than the common riff-raff, and sort of aspire to the cocktail party/cotillian set. Distaste anything "working class", and always talk about tafeta.:puke: Many seem to identify with GOP because Repugs seem to be "higher class" to them. It's strange that they are so into pretending to be the gossipy hat mavens in a Merchant-Ivory film, but are really acting like the first class passengers on the Titanic. :eyes:

Oh' and wait until you get a Log Cabinette to go off on that fictitious "Welfare Mom" who drives a Cadillac, and gets paid $150 a month for pumping out babies, but no mention of how Enron stole Billions. They are just too much.

Give me a poor gay guy who can only afford to take me to Sonic any day over these poseurs.:P
