When Democrats Win in November What Are You Going To Do
I am taking 3days off starting Monday 6Novembra, helping out with Bryan Kennedy's campaign
Wisconsin 5, helping out our Governor of Oregon Kulongoski.
I will be at some of the campaign parties, and having beverages HEINEKEN!!!!!!

I have a feeling this is going to be a landslide, with or without Diebold......

7. Wait and see if they turn back myriad of legislation
passed over the last five years that has destroyed
the Constitution.
I reserve judgment until then.

8. The second Wilson (R-COW) concedes,
I'm going to go out, dance in the street, and sing a chorus of "Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead."

She won't be dead, but her career as a rising neocon star sure will be.

Her adverts are getting pretty desperate. Now she's not only a moderate, she's been fighting cooruption in Washington.

HA!

11. Start working on '08. A November win is NO excuse to let up.
Or we'll quickly lose any gain.

13. Yippee. There's that "landslide" word again.

:-)

I've been bouncing around here for a while now saying that. I truly believe we are going to see some staggering wins, in spite of getting Diebold'ed again. Too bad it has to be because of a sex scandal, but that's OK. The scandal is a very important one--it shows how hypocritical these bastards are, it shows cover-ups, bad leadership, well, the list goes on and on.

:dem:

"Let's Landslide!"

14. I would say a big assed party would be about right.
On the weekend after Thanksgiving we always have a big assed dinner and party for our friends so this one would be special. we have both repuke and Dem friends and I would get a chance in rubbing it in. the 22nd is my wife birthday.

15. In DC on November 7
Actually I'll be in Gaithersburg, MD, north of DC, for a class on the 5th-7th, flying out on the 8th. I look forward to watching the returns in my hotel room with my grawler of Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, staying up until the wee hours to watch the Dems take back the House (hopefully the Senate), flying out of National on Wednesday hungover, looking down on our Capital, thinking...God I love this country, time to take it back.

27. A fun suggestion if you have time
Take the Metro to the museums on the Mall and do some of your holiday shopping in their amazing gift shops. They have nice stuff in every price range.

16. Not planning anything
until the votes are in and counted. It's nearly a month until election day and lots can happen so we have to keep working as if the numbers weren't going for us until the end.

18. I'll be making a phone call...
to the conservative talk radio show morning whores on my radio dial who cackled with glee over the repuke midterm victory of '94. Over and over, I can still hear the guy saying "landslide? it was a tsunami. Tsunami, Tsunami" over and over again. It was so annoying, I'll never forget it and I will not let those 2 losers forget it either. I wish I had sound clips of their own words and laughter to play back at them. But, alas, we have to win first. I don't trust our election process anymore, and I wouldn't put it past B*shco to suspend the constitution-what's left of it-or declare martial law if they fear they will be ousted after midterms. These asshats did not consolidate so much power to give it up that easily. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Been let down in 2000, and 2004 and not sure I can take much more.

20. And if bu$h set the election aside because "We are at war"?
And maybe starts a round up???
Defending themselves against war crimes and treason charges is most likely not near the top of their to do list.

21. if we win, and I hope we do, the real work begins, because
there is so much work to be done to dig ourselves out of the hole the Republicans have put us in.

There will be an enormous sense of relief, that finally, finally the adults are back in charge, and then a sobering moment when the enormity of the situation hits.

Had we won in 2004, there would be joy, but to win in 2006, the win will be a very somber one.
