Things Democrat House Members should Do in January 2007
Start by never saying the Republican phrases of "War On Terror" "Homeland Security" etc...again.
Dismantling of the department of Homeland Obscurity
Start getting rid of Republican waste, and finally get a balanced budget
Work on a conservation of energy program, along with a better 'gas mileage' bill for Detroit
Getting rid of the Patriot act
Signing a 'No Torture' bill, that replaces the one that Adolph Bush signed.
Investigate Sept 11th until it hurts, investigate everything
Start impeachment proceedings against Cheney and Bush
Work on a fair tax law, for everyone, even Corporations, make them pay what they are not
Make it harder for American companies to either move,or farm out to India/other Countries
Start paying off the national debt, the interest alone is killing us

1. Nancy Pelosi and other Dems have come up with the
100 Hour plan if they take over in January

I think they are on the right track...

Day One: Put new rules in place to "break the link between lobbyists and legislation."

Day Two: Enact all the recommendations made by the commission that investigated the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001

2. I'd rather have the Democratic members do that stuff...
And it's not too soon to start on some of them.

6. Do something about the media!
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 07:09 PM by BattyDem
Break up the media companies and make damn sure that ANY broadcast labeled "news" is legally required to be factual! NO MORE PROPAGANDA MASQUERADING AS NEWS!

Also, no corporation can be both a media company and a defense contractor - it's a conflict of interest and it puts our country at risk.
