6. in 2004, the dept secretary expressed surprise that I didn't watch CNN

She said she though I would b/c it was liberal. When I said that CNN was very conservative, she strongly disagreed and said the only non-liberal TV channel was FOX.

That reminded me of a discussion I had a few years earlier with a student. She was talking about how all the networks were so biased; she just watched the 700 Club and CBN. I asked her if she realized those were also biased; she just couldn't believe that anyone would say such a thing.

9. An Anecdote

When I was young, I drove one of a fleet of delivery trucks.

One day another driver drove my truck and then complained that the steering pulled to the left.

The other drivers tested my truck and reported that it steered just fine.

Then we drove his truck and discovered that it pulled to the right.
