15. It looks more like a hit job than consensual sex...
If you read the blog of the creepy thing that is making all the noise, she explains that this information was never supposed to see the light of day (even though she posts it on the internets) and the Post took the info (she was 'utterly shocked and horrified') from her blog without permission.

Reading further, she goes on a tear to generally disparage his character. What I find particularly telling is that there is quite a bit of partisan politics involved, where I don't really see what that would have to do with their supposed sexual relationship...

I looked through the comments on a couple of the threads on her site. She may be parsing them to stifle any 'dissent,' but I didn't really see much in the way of skepticism from posters. Smells even more like a ripe tuna to me.

13. Republicans
Boy, the sack has split open, and what's spilling out smells to high heaven.

I swear this is like the moment your sick-fuck alcoholic uncle finally loses that last brain cell and shows everyone at the Christmas gathering the private crap his family's had to put up with secretly for decades. You know it by the name Daddy's In Mommy's Panties In Front Of The Neighbors This Time: "Hey, America, look at our big ass dysfunction here! We're fucked-up about sex! We're super obsessed with sex! We gotta problem with sex, y'all! Come and get it, come on, come see: we're the Republicans, come lookit us, we gotta real freak button when it comes to sex! Sex sex sex! Come on, lock us up now, take us away!"

This kind of shitbomb-exploding episode usually precedes arrest and a padded room. Or should we sum it up by simply saying, "Hm, the right-wing appears to reached its Fleeing White Bronco Moment..."

14. I sent an email to the author:
At first I thought you were doing the fortune cookie game.

So apparently you have never heard of "groupies" before? Any person who would fly out to meet a famous person and be in bed with them within the hour is a groupie, no different from the sluttish throng outside the stage door at a rock concert.

Keith Olbermann is popular, intelligent, and attractive. He's going to attract women who are interested in bedding him. He's not married, and he's not IMing underage boys, so your smear piece about him pretty much boils down to sour grapes.

Sounds like he wasn't too impressed with your source and resorted to "pity sex" and excuses to get out of her presence. A heterosexual guy had a booty call; this qualifies as news to your rightwing publication?

22. cuckoo cuckoo
From her site:

I had two primary purposes in the beginning this blog. One was to work through the experience as I was left with an array of emotions that ran the gamut from anger to sorrow to bewilderment. The second was to warn others who might be in the same position as I was, having an email relationship or more with him. And I did hear from other women, several in fact, who shared their stories privately with me, and here on this blog.

Work through her emotional exerience on her blog???

And the list of links on the right is all KO stuff.

Um, no wonder he sent her packing. If it really did happen, I'm sure once he met her in person he saw the real her, the creepy, pathetic her.

Let's recap: This woman had a big crush on Olbermann, so much so that she went to NYC to meet him, jumped straight into the sack with him in less than an hour, and is now so pissed off beyond belief that he didn't want to see her again that she started a blog with the sole purpose of trying to make Keith look bad.

Aside from the fact that all this makes the woman ("Karma") come off as an obsessive stalker, it also seems that she's missing what's obvious to the rest of us: Lady, Keith Olbermann's just not interested in getting to know you any better than he already has.

Really, her big tip-off should've been at the beginning - when she travelled to New York to see him instead of the other way around. I wouldn't be at all surprised to discover that it started off with Olbermann saying something like "if you're ever in the area, look me up" and she took it to mean that he desperately wanted to meet her. When they finally did meet, she thought it meant more than it did and he just thought he was getting an itch scratched.

I'll never understand why some people expect celebrities to behave differently than other people. A lot of men would've done exactly what Keith Olbermann did in the same situation, but he's supposed to be different, somehow? Please. It was a one-night stand that this woman participated in willingly. If she didn't want or expect a one-night stand, then maybe she shouldn't have had sex with a virtual stranger within 45 minutes of meeting him face to face.

People with unrealistic expectations are always disappointed.

Edited for typo

31. Well, well, well, a grown man has sex with a grown woman.
No underage pages involved, no sexually harassing phone calls to employees. What a really boring story. Maybe he should write a porn story like Libby and O'Lielly. But if it is normal sex (no bears involved) with a normal adult woman it would never sell.

The thing here is that Olbermann must really be getting to them. They've (the media) has started picking on Jon Stewart, too.

They - the repubs - must be afraid of Olbermann and Stewart and what they have to say to take notice and start to smear.

34. HORRIBLE, despicable, awful
that may well be - HOWEVER, it's also validation for KO

his commentaries are striking nerves. It's one thing to receive applause and positive reactions from the choir, but to really know if you have made your point just gauge it by the attacks

if KO commentaries were not relevant and in tune with public opinion there would be no smear campaign, at best there would be chuckles and head shakes passing KO off as a "nutjob" - however the level and ferocity of the attacks says KO is hitting the nail on the head

in an odd way, (and to paraphrase Cheney) "...it's a sign of desperation..."

38. Why would he want to? Answering such bullshit only elevates it
And as Max Schumacher (WIlliam Holden) said in the famous film "Network": "Why is it that a woman always thinks that the most savage thing she can say to a man is to impugn his cocksmanship?"

I'm sure Olbermann has heard of the story and is having a damned good laugh over it. He's not running to his lawyers, even if in fact, he did have a one-night stand with this obsessed woman.

Lastly, I find it hard to believe, among the many things in the Post item I find hard to believe, that Olbermann speaks in Shakespearean quotes to his bedmates. "For this relief much thanks."

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/10/world/asia/10assess.html?hp&ex=1160539200&en=4476571b6d74d04a&ei=5094&partner=homepage

As Democrats were quick to note on Monday, four weeks before a critical national election, President Bush and his aides never gave as much priority to countering a new era of proliferation as they did to overthrowing Saddam Hussein.

Liar David Sanger does not report that the Democrats have been saying this for fucking five years.

A caller said that Liz Smith has a dedication on the back of his new book. She is supposedly saying that he reminds her of Gen. Patton.

That is a partial explanation of why they are targeting Olberman. I wouldn't be surprised if they sent him that powder in the mail.
