Poll results - McCaskill vs. Talent on MTP

Sunday, on national television, Jim Talent and Claire McCaskill debated on Meet the Press. After the debate, a survey found that 47% of those who watched the debate thought McCaskill won, while 37% thought Talent won.

The survey was conducted by Survey USA for KSDK. More than 2,500 people in Missouri were asked if they saw the debate. More than 500 people said they did. Among those who watched, the survey also found the debate may have changed some voters' opinions.

28% of those surveyed said the debate gave them a more favorable opinion of Talent, while 44% said it gave them a less favorable opinion. 28% said the debate did not change their opinion.

44% said the debate gave them a more favorable opinion of Claire McCaskill, while 32% said the debate gave them a less favorable opinion. 24% say the debate did not change their opinion of McCaskill.

The survey has a margin of error of +/-4.4%.

Although he had a couple of good jabs, she really painted him as a liar and Bushbot. He tried to say he was the most independent Repuke. She pointed to his record, supporting Bush 98 percent of the time and said, yeah, REAL independent.
