Would James Webb make a good Secretary of Defense?
If he were to somehow lose the Senate race to Senator Macacawitz? He seems to me to be more competent on national security matters than the entire Bush Administration combined? Of course, it may be a little early to pick the Cabinet for the next President? :)

Bush cabal, not to mention his service as Sec of the Navy and his military expertise. And don't let any perceived notions of sexism or bias against women serving in the military cloud your judgement of him in this regard either.

Right now, he is the only public figure I can think of that would be a great choice for Al Gore to make as Sec Def.
