Has Stephen Baldwin flipped?
He's on MSNBC talking about being the first Jesus Psycho. Cultural advisor to President Bush? Author of the Unusual Suspect. He sounds like he graduated from Jesus Camp! Tune in. He's an evangelical, radical Christian!

Who knew?

8. Hear that sound?
That's his career taking a dive. Unless Mel Gibson comes a calling, I don't see him winning much of an audience.

maybe you're confusing him with Alec?

12. No. I know the difference.
The others always appeared like Alec wannabe clones. Stephen did have something marketable when he was younger because of his innocent, goofy look, but I don't see that anymore.

15. LOL!
I do feel sorry for Stephen. I think he's sincere, but, there's no doubt that he's using his popularity to push his religious beliefs, and frankly, if the right don't like actors who use their celebrity status to push their politics, I don't see the left appreciating an actor who pushes his religion.

36. Was his a case of
trading one addiction for another? It strikes me that a lot of far-right Christians had emotional or substance abuse problems that they turned to Christianity to "fix", and Christianity itself became their new addiction. I have a few of those in my own family and they're bloody hard work to be around now.

A bit embarrassing for his brothers, but that's exactly what BushInc was going for when coopting this nut in the first place.

BushInc and his fascist GOP elite have complete CONTEMPT for evangelicals like Baldwin, anyway, and that's why they enjoy USING them as pawns.

READ THIS TRANSCRIPT FROM CHRIS MATTHEWS SHOW LAST WEEKEND>

Mr. SULLIVAN: This--and I think Norah's right. The real theme here is abuse of power, and so it ties in with corruption, the pork, the abuse of our troops in Iraq who have not been given the support they need or even a war plan to succeed.

MATTHEWS: OK, so everyone agrees here that this story, emblematic of whatever...

Mr. SULLIVAN: Just emblematic of abuse.

CARLSON: It goes deeper than that though. The deep truth is that the elites in the Republican Party have pure contempt for the evangelicals who put their party in power. Everybody in...

MATTHEWS: How do you know that? How do you know that?

CARLSON: Because I know them. Because I grew up with them. Because I live with them. They live on my street. Because I live in Washington, and I know that everybody in our world has contempt for the evangelicals. And the evangelicals know that, and they're beginning to learn that their own leaders sort of look askance at them and don't share their values.

MATTHEWS: So this gay marriage issue and other issues related to the gay lifestyle are simply tools to get elected?

CARLSON: That's exactly right. It's pandering to the base in the most cynical way, and the base is beginning to figure it out. (Unintelligible).

MATTHEWS: OK. Where are you...

Mr. SULLIVAN: The right is right to be mad about this. They have been duped by these people, and now they're venting and they have every right to vent.

18. Just a question:
Are you saying that the gay bashing is JUST a ploy? I sincerely believe they would have gone through with all those bills, if they could have.

33. The elitist GOPs are surrounded by gays and gay themselves - They never
cared about the issue, just as they never cared about abortion they pay for enough of those themselves - it's always been HOW do you get those pesky working class people to support your fascist agenda without them grasping what your actual agenda is.

Hasn't the unmasking of Ralph Reed proved that?

30. Notice his answer for everything? "The Bible says..."
"...and I live my life by what the Bible says" "It's found in the Bible"

Then on to say "the Bible says" you have to spread the word...when talking about how Bono should be preaching and a "little less" of the other (feeding people)

34. Not according to many on here....
..who say that despite everything Bono has done for the plight of poverty and disease and starvation, despite the awareness he has raised and the money he has helped raised and donated that he's scum because he hasn't criticized Bush.

I'm not entirely sure how that's different than what Baldwin is saying. I think he's an idiot, but it's almost the exact same way of looking at things as many people on here have and have commented on.

It must be interesting family get togethers with the Baldwin Familia if they invite him, that is.

I'm thinking it was the years of brain abuse that killed one too many cells that got him in this condition.
