Senator Boxer hasn't given up. Why should we?
Senator Boxer was on Ed Schultz's show yesterday.
She brought up the topic of a filibuster and said everything is still on the table.

Here's part of what she said:
"If we just had one or two Republicans come out and say we can not vote for this man, and they should, there are several from states that certainly oppose Alito, it would be a breakthrough and it would give life to a filibuster."

There's a link to the segment on Ed Schultz's website:

She starts discussing this @ the 2/3 point.

She hasn't given up. Keep those calls going.

1. agreed
Ed also started his show out yesterday saying the Filibuster wasn't worth it but by the end he changed his mind due to overwhelming public support. Our congressmembers are definately feeling the heat and they know the Bush ship is sinking...

2. And if we're ever going to turn up the heat, now is the time.

3. What repub would oppose him?
And why? It would be political suicide on the scale of Zell's support for bush.

If the dems are holding out for a Republican to do the right thing, what is the cause for hope?

4. The hope here is slim.
Snowe, Collins, Chafee.
Do I think it's highly likely - nope.
Do I think it's worth trying, along with continuing to call the Dems -yep.
