Plan to Leak Foley (via rawstory) (story contradicted by CREW already)
rawstory has a link to a spectator article, but CREW had already given the info to the FBI. How would they be "holding back" if they already asked for a criminal investigation?

Report: ‘Plan Was to Leak Foley Right Before Vote’

One of the stories going around Democrat Party circles is that party operatives like Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and American Family Voices weren't quite ready for primetime with the opposition research materials they had gathered for the 2006 election cycle.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/05/AR2006100501657.html?nav=rss_nation

CREW held a news conference Monday to announce that in July it had provided the FBI suspicious e-mails between Foley and a former House page. The group criticized the bureau for not taking more aggressive action and asked Justice Department Inspector General Glenn A. Fine to investigate the FBI's handling of the case.

Law enforcement officials said then that the e-mails did not provide enough evidence of a possible crime to warrant a full investigation. In the e-mails, Foley praises the physical attributes of one page and asks another teenager for his picture.

In subsequent days, unidentified Justice and FBI officials told reporters that the e-mails provided by CREW were heavily redacted and that the group refused to provide unedited versions to the FBI. One law enforcement official -- speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation -- also told The Washington Post the FBI believed that CREW may have received the e-mails as early as April and that the group refused to tell the FBI how they were obtained.

3. not to mention the so-called dem sources are all indirect
Quotes starting with "I'm hearing that" ain't got a lot of credibility.

And with CREW having gone to the FBI months earlier I can't see how this clown can make the claims in the spectator story.

pure Rovian BS, through and through

2. So...the Republicans had this plan?
It was Republicans who leaked the emails--and the story--to ABC News.

Plenty of members of the "liberal media" held onto the story for months,
and never reported it.

So, I guess the Republicans not only created their own pedophile scandal, they
leaked it before an election, in order to obliterate their elections chances
even further.

That must be it, because the Dems did not leak this stuff. The Reps did.

4. I saw a Republican congressman both on Hardball and O'Reilly
say that the only question left was "What did Pelosi know and when did she know it," claiming she is probably criminally culpible. Talk about trying to turn the tables!!!

But I've not heard that for several days. Maybe he learned that he was going too far, even in todays' climate.

O'Reilly, but the way, seemed fascinated with the idea.

Anyone hear any more from this clown??
