In the end both parties have let down Americans, and I think that a bond can be found through this. The last thing that they want is America speaking with one voice. Make a republican friend today, go for a beer maybe. A United States is the key to controlling the power. There are always issues that all americans can agree on and with others agree to disagree. Bridging the divide is of major improtance in '06.

2. It's not the Republicans that we can't work with, it's the neo-cons. |
|
And the neo-cons don't really ask for much, just absolute power, and for us to bow down and obey every word that comes out of their mouths like it is the word of god.
But on to your point, a hell of a lot of my friends are Republicans, and we agree on a lot of issues, especially the government out of our lives, free speech, religion, etc. One could say that the constitution of our country IS our unifying bond. Unfortunately, this new breed of neo-con wants to completely shred that document.

I do not have any Republican friends. We would have nothing in common. My confused friends are salvagable.
