A Tri-state prosecutor has been arrested for walking around naked.

According to the Butler County Sheriff's Department, 35-year old Scott Blauvelt is accused of strolling around the Government Services building in Hamilton after hours without any clothing on.

Blauvelt is employed by the City of Hamilton and was acting as the prosecutor of their Municipal Court.

The report says Blauvelt has been charged with 2 counts of public indecency, and that was wandering nude on Thursday and Friday of last week.

2. Uhm...After hours and no one was there. How was it "PUBLIC" indecency?
Because a security saw it on video? I mean, sure, it's a bit fucked up, but did he hurt anyone? Did he expose himself to the cleaning lady or something? What exactly is the guy's "crime?" It sounds like the old tree falling in the forest...if no one was there to see him, was he really even naked at all?

.

5. Somebody saw him. Maybe he was visible outside the bldg. Anyway,
he seems to have some kind of fetish about it, because he has done it before. http://www.wcpo.com/news/2006/local/10/10/nude.html

He was driving a car while naked and had an accident. His lawyer blames his behavior on "side effects of medication." Gee I don't know, that's one side effect the drug companies don't advertise. FDA needs to investigate this.

13. there's usually some people around even after hours--perhaps
cleaning people or people working late? Obviously he didn't realize it.

3. Words fail me. Maybe he thought when the judge said "file a brief" he
meant it literally. Give the kid a break. At least he wasn't concealing any weapons.

8. "...at least he wasn't concealing any weapons."
good one! Sorry to say I am from Hamilton, now up at other end of Ohio. Wish we had moved completely out of this state when we had the chance years ago. When in Hamilton I was one of about 2 democrats in the county, or so it seemed. I actually was one of the 2 democrats on the League of Woman Voters. They didn't know quite what to think of us.

11. I'm guessing he's a Republican, because...
1) This is the sort of things Republicans do.
2) If he were a Democrat, it would be prominently featured in the headline.
3) He looks like a Republican.

(Alright... we did do the nose. And the hat. But he's a Republican!)

15. He's Disabled!
In a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Blauvelt's lawyer, Michael Gmoser, said his client was seriously injured in a 2005 car accident, suffers from bipolar disorder and is on medication for seizures. His wife recently miscarried, which added to his stress, Blauvelt said.

"Scott Blauvelt is an American with a disability," he said.
