Change in the Democratic party.
I can only speak for myself, but I'm not optimistic that Dem legislators are going to be more responsive to the base. They've had many chances over the past 5 years to step up and rise to the occasion and have repeatedly let the worker, women, people with disabilities, and children down. What else does it take? Trying to hold onto Congress is one thing, but holding onto seats held by people who sell us short repeatedly is another. Are you willing to revolt and change the people who continue in this way?

2. It's a gamble, but one that might be worthwhile in some cases
I mean as a general strategy, I don't think we should be campaigning against our own; it just weakens our candidates. But in some cases (like Lieberman) it might be warrented, and it would also give the others a hint.

3. I can honestly say
that myself and my family are not represented. Therefore, I'm just ruled. There are no laws nor constitution to protect me because there is no one to preserve it.

4. on the important issues, the interests of Congressional Democrats . . .
are no different than the issues of Congressional Republicans . . . the war, the Patriot Act, the budget cuts, bankruptcy "reform", Medicare Part D and all the rest were enabled and facilitated by Democrats whose primary allegiance is not to us, the people, but to the corporate overseers who fund their campaigns and their "lifestyles of the rich and famous" . . .

5. Dem base is subjective
Isn't the base slightly left of the middle, including our congress folk?
