As respectful as the Democrats have been in their dissent of the Alito nomination, it's the Republicans who've been calling the names and talking the trash.

Feingold asked Alito if an innocent man was about to be executed, and Alito said that as long as the legal t's were crossed and the i's were dotted right, Alito would still have the man put to death. No question about it. No, he wouldn't grant a stay.
