Other than the usual suspects are there any other GOP Senators |
|
who would be likely to lose if there is a "wave election" and dems win overwhelmingly?
by usual suspects I mean other than: Santorum, DeWine, Burns, Talent, Chafee, and Allen (and not to mention Corker whose running for an open seat in TN which I think Harold Ford will win).

he's basically been Bush's tool, but he's been using McCain as a shield. He hasn't done anything for this state, and alot of people were appalled to hear he was named one of the 5 best Senators by Time, who openly acknowledged he made the cut because he was so good at ruthlessly pursuing the right-wing agenda, not because he's done anything great for us.
Not long ago, maybe the Spring of 06, when I first began to heavily dig into neighborhood political activism, alot of oft-voting Democrats would say things like "Arizona has two Senators?" or "I thought we voted for Senator two years ago (referring to McCain)." On top of that, not much longer before that, a local magazine ran an article titled "Senator Who?" referring to Kyl's aloofness from the state.
So now, this year, we're running a self-made millionaire, former Arizona Democratic Party chairman, Jim Pederson (www.pederson2006.com). We're getting really competitive down here in Goldwaterland, and the race will be close, no matter how many millions the Republicans throw at us.
