I have a client who has 'a little bit' of money to donate to a campaign. She would like to use it wisely.

Who should she give it to?

(We live in Lynn Woolsey's district, no sense giving it locally -- Lynn will win hands down, she always does.)

15. its a race for the state legislature...

the legislature in Utah is about 25% Dem so I'm not sure one seat here will make any difference.

IMHO, put your money in race for national office...one where money will make the difference.

17. Very good chance of her winning actually. The incumbent is not

running and the R that is has major morality issues that actually got him out of office in the first place. Besides that, Park City is in her district (extremely liberal) and this is her 3rd run so she has name recognition. ALSO, she has raised more than twice as much money than the last election and twice as much as her opponent. :)

He's liberal, unequivocal about a woman's right to choose, and is managing to stay barely in front of his opponent in the polls.

He could use the help.

It's my hometown (Waterloo, IA) and leans liberal though the area around it leans conservative. They have a long tradition of electing both Democrats and Republicans.

Put your money here! It will make a difference and help us pick up a House Seat.

18. You could refine that list even more with info from thegreenpapers

on the amount of money the Democrat and the Republican have raised in each of the 15 races.

For the most leverage, I'd put my money on a Democratic David running even with a Republican Goliath. With even just a few thousand dollars from your client and others, crucial radio and local TV spots could get the message out and help get committee control and subpoena power back for Nancy Pelosi and the rest of our crew.

The Republicans STILL are running ahead in "safe" and "leaning" seats, according to CQ.
