Blair blamed for 655,000 Iraq deaths
http://www.newswales.co.uk/?section=Politics&F=1&id=9610

<snip>“These shocking figures show that the illegal invasion of Iraq by Bush and Blair has led to the mass-murder of innocent Iraqis on an almost unbelievable scale.

"More Iraqis have died now than the total number of British deaths in the Second World War, and three times the total number of deaths in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and represents the equivalent of a 9/11 attack in Iraq every week since the invasion almost three and a half years ago.

“The Prime Minister must be held to account for his role in which can only be described as a war crime which continues to have fatal consequences for innocent Iraqis on a daily basis.”

3. He should be. They're dead, in large part, due to him. KR
He trotted over here, the "Labour" aka liberal PM with that oh so cute and trite accent and heaped credibility on the boy king's insane plan for war. His secret service spent lots of time on Googling up a bogus red leather encased pack of lies that reinforced the * pack of lies. And then he gave the speech, to a bunch uncritical Members of Congress, and that was it. The citizens, enough of them, fell for his silly accent and vapid logic. The rest is tragedy. I can't stand Blair and I think that the British Labour Party is really no different than the US Republican Party. They lack the conviction to throw this guy out (much easier in their system than ours, just a vote by party leaders). How pathetic is that.
