Hitler was defeated.
The Brits, Soviets and French were joining us in dividing Berlin and Germany.
The UN charter had been signed in San Francisco.
We had the Japanese on their knees and had defeated the mightiest army on earth. (well, before we got ahold of it that is.)
45 days and this war will be longer than WWII.
