Who Will Be Buying The Book "Tempting Faith"
i hate to spend money on any republican, but...

http://www.amazon.com/Tempting-Faith-Inside-Political-Seduction/dp/0743287126/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt/102-0475055-3508961?ie=UTF8

i'm considering it

although i'm sure by the time olberman gets done with it (tomorrow is gonna be part three of this book) there won't be any surprises left.

maybe i'll get it for a republican's christmas present. hum....

"David Kuo, a former Bush White House aide, is the author of Tempting Faith: An Inside Story of Political Seduction which will be published later this month. The book essentially says President Bush's "compassionate conservativism" and "faith-based initaitives" were more campaign rhetoric than anything else.

At the very least, it's more evidence of Christian conservatives becoming disillusioned with the Bush administration. "

1. I think it's more of the trickery and deceit used on evangelicals
by the Bush political machine and how they fell completely gullible to the GOP politics. Adding insult to injury, is the name calling done by Rove.

8. I probably will - I'm going to read a bit of it at B&N
and then if it looks worthwhile I will purchase. Besides my B&N membership I have an additional 15% off sticker in my pocket.

I'm wondering if this is going to be the fundie version of David Brock's Blinded by the Right.

11. Of Course These Neo-Cons are Fakes!
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
"Ye shall know them by their fruits." Matthew 7:15-16.

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of streets, that they may be seen of (people). Verily I say unto you, they have their reward." Matthew 6:5.

"Then Jesus said unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
"And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:23-24. (Etc., etc., etc.)

I have NEVER considered this disgusting crowd of throat-slitting, deregulating Republican global-capitalists to be anything like Christians, they are not Christians, they are the enemy of Christians seeking peace and cooperation, and to help the poor and the weak. They are rich oil executives, and most of their crowd does not even play-act at being Christians. I have always been completely baffled as to why anyone--whether asshole Republicans or asshole atheists here on DU--considered any one of them "Christians" when all they ever consult are their Republican talking points, or their stock reports. Thank God this ugly filth is coming out and can be read and memorized; this is what they are. Everything is strategy to these people, advancing their larger goal, the complete destruction of Government and law itself, with only the rich global captialist network left standing; and all of us starving slaves.

13. I don't plan on it.
I refuse to support anyone ever associated with the Bush* administration, and especially his faith based initiatives. Although his book may be full of juicy facts I still find the man's story unbelievable. He claims that he got into the whole faith based initiative mafia because he wanted to help the poor. I find this ridiculous. Anyone with eyes and half a brain knows that the Republican party's mission has never been to help the poor. He joined the cabal not to help the poor, but to help funnel taxpayer money into churches, especially Christian churches.
