Ramussen: Massive collapse in War on Terror Optimism, 'we're losing'
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/2006/War%20on%20Terror_Monthly_Update.htm

Only 31% of Americans believe Americans are winning the war of terror. This is disastrous news for the GOP, given that 36% think the terrorists are winning. This also corresponds with polls showing Dems leading on the issue of defeating terrorism. The public isn't going to vote for a party that they think is losing the war.

Good news keeps rolling in.

Also, check out Rasmussen's party affiliation scoreboard:

Heading in 2004 Dems and Reps were basically even on Party Affiliation, Dems had a .5 lead
Today, Dems constitute 37.5% of registered voters and Reps only constitute 32.4%, and independents are breaking for the Democrats by margins of generally 48%-34%. In 2004 independents split a dead 47%-47% for the two parties.

1. Good news yes, good enough no
Keep fighting, fighting fighting...

This makes me want to make 10 more calls, knock on 10 more doors, write 10 more letters to the editor.

We must stay as focused as possible and not look up to even entertain these articles.

2. Good news that we are fighting what the public deems a lost
cause...

Good news that the slaughter of innocent people and soldier pawns continues to escalate...

I don't call that good news...

I call that tragic for the American People...

And the only way out of that tragedy is to vote with your head and not your heart...

4. The right has blown the war on terror, and Bin Laden has gotten
everything he wanted and then some.

How is it the right could ridicule Bin Laden and AL Qaeda for living in caves but in the same breath express a fear of Bin Laden that suggests we have to tear up our Bill of Rights to protect ourselves?

The Republican party's CHOICES and politicizing of 9/11 has caused many US deaths, enraged the Muslim world against the US, ruined our reputation worldwide, plundered our resources, increased our National debt, divided America and given refuge to Osama Bin Laden. I'm sure Bin Laden thinks he is winning.

The Republican Leadership of our Country are so obsessed with re-election they have lost the war on terror....PERIOD!

Unfortunately we ALL are going to suffer the consequences of their incompetence and greed. It's a shame.
