How long did Ney claim he was innocent before pleading guilty?

What about De Lay, or is he still lying?

The Enron scum?

Even funnier is the finger-pointing, after they finally get busted. "Not my fault, it's his/her/their fault." "Well really, it doesn't matter anyway, because..." "B-b-b-but the Dems!"

1. Yes, and don't forget the fallback phrase, "Jesus is working through me."
No matter what crime, no matter what horror they have been caught dealing in, the default fallback of "...through adversity I've found the Lord and Jesus is working through me," always works its way into the guilty plea/resignation speech to the enthusiastic applause of whatever Kool-Aid drinkers are in the room.

5. No kidding!
Butbutbut... 20 years ago...!

Hell, for them, a decade ago isn't too far back to reach to try to wriggle out of that whole 'accountability' thing they preach about.

6. Honesty and accountability is always...
...the LAST resort with these guys. How many different ways did Dennis Hastert try to spin things before he finally came out with some half-assed claim of responsibility? Half-assed because even after "accepting responsibility (as a last resort) he still tried to blame the whole thing on a conspiracy by the Democrats. Apparently, accepting responsibility for things leaves a bad taste in their mouths. Bastards.

Whatever... :eyes:

HE was the superior, and HE failed to check up on the reports. HE enabled that predator. PERIOD.

8. It amazes ME how much they whine and finger-point and blame-shift...
...but then, maybe their definition of "personal responsibility" is different from mine.

philosophically,
Bright
