Now you recently wrote that Bill Clinton should have resigned as POTUS because he "deliberately lied" about having an extra-marital affair, but that George Bush's actions in Iraq did not rise to Clinton's level of malfeasance because Bush did not deliberately lie but rather, in your words, instead made a "terrible misjudgment." More than 600,000 dead... Do you still stand by your comments?

To answer your question, yes, I am still of that view. The war in Iraq has turned out to be a major catastrophe, whatever the final casualty count turns out to be. But I make a distinction between a mistaken policy and a deliberate dedeption. The remedy for a mistaken policy is found in the election process, and unless I misread the signs, the American people are about to apply that remedy to the Republicans who led us into Iraq.
