Here's Idea --Send A Copy of "Tempting Faith" To Fundi Churches... |
|
... with the most egregious sections highlighted in yellow and tabbed for easy referenced.
With a Note: "Just thought you might want to know what the Republicans really think of you."

11. Here at home we've been talking about doing the same |
|
We thought it would help if we dressed nicely and conservatively, and put a flag graphic on the flyers, because those lots have cameras. If you look like a GOP campaign worker they'll be less likely to send out security.

3. Sad to say, but I doubt they'd read it |

Those people are seriously reality-challenged.

5. an anonymous gift left in a clueless coworker's mailbox, good idea |
|
--she'll probably guess it's me, though, as there are a handful of us around her who scandalize her to death with our banter about the little turd pile and I'm a ringleader.

6. Oh man I have a guy I use to work with |
|
and when I heard about this book - I thought oh man I have to send this to him - but we still work for the same company just not in the same group any more - and I'm not sure if that could be a problem.
Here is an example of what a freak he is:
My niece was pregnant for her youngest and while he was still in utero I bought this awesome toy for him that I had bought for another friend's baby. I bought it because I was afraid by the time the baby got old enough to use it they might not be around any more - anyway I loved this thing it played music - had animals and letters and colors and stuff and I LOVED IT - so I was telling this fundie creep about it and he said can I ask you a question and I said sure - and he said if you're PRO ABORTION why would you buy this toy for this unborn baby.....
stunning.....
and he could NEVER understand the difference between PRO ABORTION and PRO CHOICE.... wonder how Mr. PRO LIFE feels about us killing 650,000 innocent Iraqis....

7. CNN just reported Dobson said it is just 'sour grapes' .... |
|
....yeah, I would expect Dobson to defend the Repubs who put him on the map.
This is a serious threat to the Repub Machine --and they know it.

9. Disagree, I think they will do some Indian Tribe-like research... |
|
...to find out how they were played.
These ideologues are not stupid. They will read it, and realize that what is recounted in the book fills in the 'missing pieces' as to why the Repubs never delivered on their religious agenda.
Most in danger are the Dobsons and Falwells who were the main 'handlers' of the conservative fundamentalists voting for Republicans.
I smell a crash and burn inside the conservative fundamentalist superstructure. They may not vote democratic, but they also may not vote at all --and that will kill the Repubs as sure as anything else.

15. Why try to rub their noses in it? It will turn them away from |
|
reading the book. Remember what it felt like to find out your government had betrayed you? A little compassion might go a long way.
